I have recently found out from a reliable source that although the voters were told that all rooms would be worked on in the school, that is no longer the case. No work will be done to any classrooms except for the FCS room. No other room will be remodeled in any way. Nothing will be done to the ceilings in any of the rooms, the plumbing won't be fixed in the art room, or any other room in the school. Also, I am wondering why we are building a paint booth. The IT teacher is nearing retirement, and what if the next teacher does not do auto body? It is a great thing right now, but the money spent on a new paint booth will be wasted--what will the paint booth be used for after Jay Henderson retires? How many teachers are there who are trained in autobody the way he is? And will RC be able to attract any? In addition, part of the bod issue money will be used to create 3 offices for special education department. Why does the Special Ed department need 3 offices? Why do they need more office space than the already have? The current lunch room will be renovated into 3 offices for them. That seems extravagant. Why would they require office space that large? Ideally, and originally, the lunch room was going to become the art room. It has running water, 3 sides with windows (natural light) and a loading door for clay and other heavy materials to be loaded through. Doesn't that make more sense than offices? Why are the plans changing now that the vote has passed? Suddenly, we are not getting what we were told we were getting. Mainly, remodeled classrooms. Something needs to be done. Paul Hull seems to think that he can do whatever he wants up there, regardless of what the district feels. He doesn't even live in our district--so what is he doing?
