Just wanted to pass along my experience at the august 12-09 "informational" meeting at the high school

The sign indicates a public meeting at the public school open to the public, "for all INTERESTED patrons" Well I am interested. I got the notification in the mail. I checked the serial number on the meter against a letter from the school.

No question that postage was paid by the school the message on the card

It says informational meeting. It sure looks like a notice for a public meeting it doesn't say for koolaid drinkers only, and if it did it would be against the rules, so to make it work a little wordplay. There CLEARLY was an underlying agenda for this gathering, and ALL patrons were not welcome. In attendance: Paul Hull Superintendent Superintendent's secretary DLR Architect Ameritas money guy Facility: Mustang room This seems to have all the ingredients of a public meeting. Facility, utilities, AC, lights paid from tax dollars. The big Chief and secretary are on the payroll. postage is even paid with public funds. A little chatter and the sheep break into groups. Myself and 2 other long time district taxpayers attempt to get the information on the dream plan. I was asked to volunteer, I say you don't want me to volunteer. Then I was asked to leave. I was denied the information. I was told my letter to the editor from the spring was mis information. I say if there is mis information what is it so I can correct it. So a guy who stands to make a sizable commission from local taxpayers if he can get this pile of crap plan snuk by voters wants to withhold info from the folks that paid the rent and utilities so he has a better chance of poisoning the minds of district voters.

I guess I am Blackballed again. Glad I could furnish the electricity for your movie. a base ball coach would call a foul A football coach would call illegal procedure I call it unprofessional.I thought no public funds were allowed to be used for this stuff? What ever happened to open and transparent government. Clearly there is something to hide here. next time pay for your own postage and put the real agenda on the notice. People with nothing to hide hide nothing I thought improving our schools was a good thing? Whats up with this? I guess next time I will volunteer to put up signs and write letters to the paper so I can get the public information. I was told I could schedule the room for my own meeting. I guess I will. I have decided to form a watchdog group to provide oversite for wasteful spending in our schools. thanks for the idea! [/rant] Eldon McFarling
